After much probing around on news of Daniel's departure circulating the net, it was found that Dan was suspended from On-Air duties. But Dan called it quits soon after. I don't know how true or accurate is that info. If its because of the similar Sheikh Haikel case, I seriously think some Singaporeans need to lighten up, open up and stop complaining. Why not advice or remind? You know what I don't care. Daniel Ong made my mornings great.

Maybe cos I spent too much time on my drawings,
detached from my 2 top sources of inspiration - TV and internet. LOL

Yup I ignored everything.
Including my cats.
My cat, Fiffy, decided to munch off the corner of my drawing paper!
she must have been frustrated with me or something. ahahaha!

Anyway take a look at what I drew so far!

Alright lah I'm going to start on my freehand drawings..
Draw 3 locations, inside and outside of a Chinese temple.
NOT easy with all the dragons and artifacts and swirly-swirly intricate thingys inside. -__-"
A challenge for me to overcome (or draw for that matter) bebeh! hurhurhur

Last few weeks was filled with assignments and projects..

Almost everyday I stayed back in school till 10pm. Hardcore eh?! ahahaha!

As in now I'm left with my Motion & Sound website.. which is going on fine!

I officially started it today.. submission on friday!

2 freaking days to complete!

But I'm almost there.. never did a website this super fast before siaa..

And I'm trying something new also..a simple Flash website. 2 milestones aye. ahaha!

Ok there's still my freehand drawings to submit next Friday -___-"

48 divided by 8 = 6 drawings/day o_O

So anyway sorry for the slow updates ya!

Ok I'm taking whatever little time I have to update hor..hehe

At last the our Motion & Sound video production project done!

I have to say it was quite an experience to do videoshooting in public.

And we ain't just shooting something usual. haha!

It took a period of 4 weeks (I think) to wrap up everything.

We chose Anti-Smoking as a our theme, and initially it was a totally different idea.

First idea was pretty err.. usual and normal, well thats what my lecturer says. haha!

So we came up with this radical idea of making a super huge cigarette and having the person carrying it around doing his usual routine.

Hovering around the idea of "Cigarettes being your buddy" thingy.

We wanted to make the video "self explanatory" with music playing on the background.

But according to requirements in the project,

we had to add scripts as there were marks for it. Sian.

Then many would ask the same thing, What's that thing made of?

Well cardboards, color papers, styrofoam and newspapers. (:

Yeah great idea. But we were all skeptical that it'll be easy.

Especially Danial cos he's the one carrying the ciggy around. LOL!

But Kudos to him for his effort!

C'mon man, shooting in Orchard carrying that thing around.

That takes guts ok! ahaha!

We got lots of attention indeed. Most times we made people look twice and smile.

At times people would offer lighters to us. ahahaha!

Then there were times that Rina had to bring the ciggy on site and stuff.

Thanks to her CCA's clubroom, we had a place to place it temporarily. I appreciate it. (:

Thanks to my awesome group mates, we went through it all and had fun doing it. ^_^

Ok I forgot..

Danial - Main Actor + Video/Sound Editor

Rina - Assistant Director + Producer + Sub-actor + Calefare

Dawn - Script + Site + PA + Sub-Actor + Calefare

Me - Director + Video Editor + Cameraman

We had to shoot the school scene 3 times because of camera issues.

Alternating between Rina's camera and the school's.

The issue of wearing the same thing on different days just to keep everything consistent

and shooting on different times of the day because of lighting.

Juggling with other projects and finding the right time to shoot was pretty challenging.

Sometimes certain situations make it hard to do shooting.

But nevermind. It was a great experience.

Through everything that we went through, I learned quite alot from it.

Being the camera guy, I tried to explore new ways and different camera angles to make

the video as interesting as possible.

I had to think beforehand how everything flows before recording.

One interesting thing is,

how the video came up to be like after everything was trimmed and cleaned up.

Looks messy during the pre-editing phase but looks more like a proper video after that.

haha!

Ok it isn't a perfectly perfect video. Especially the script part. LOL!

But we all did good enough lah kan.

Next assignment is creating a portfolio website for this module.

If you notice, I'm typing alot. LOL!

I'm also writing this for my reflections component for this production.

Kill 2 chickens with 1 stone aye. ahaha!

But this is not enough lah of course..

Probably have to edit, add more later and I'm too tired to think right now. ^_^
